Logical Green Solutions LLC First Midwest LED Company to Accept Bitcoin

Tuesday, January 28, 2014 – Logical Green Solutions LLC (LGS), of Waukesha, Wisconsin is proud to announce that they are the first LED company in the Midwest to accept Bitcoin payments in partnership with Bitpay.

Bitcoin was invented as a peer-to-peer system for online payments that does not require a trusted central authority. Since its inception in 2008, Bitcoin has grown into a technology, a currency, an investment vehicle, and a community of users.  The core innovation that makes Bitcoin special is that it uses consensus in a massive peer-to-peer network to verify transactions.

Bitcoin is a form of a virtual currency. If you have bitcoins, you do not physically possess the coins or tokens. However, similar to Paypal, you can use bitcoins to pay friends, merchants, etc. Every single purchase is immediately logged digitally (on computers) on a transaction log that tracks the time of purchase and who owns how many bitcoins. Think of this transaction log as an audit trail.  A place to start researching information on Bitcoin is www.Bitcoinsimplified.org

When clients receive an invoice from Logical Green Solutions, they now have the option to pay in US Dollars via check, credit card, Paypal, or Bitcoin. If clients elect to pay with Bitcoin, they will receive an invoice with a QR code that they will be able to scan. Upon scanning it, clients will be presented with Logical Green Solutions’ Bitcoin address, the quantity of Bitcoins required for payment (pricing kept up-to-date with Bitpay), and the transaction label. Depending on a client’s Bitcoin wallet, this information will be filled out automatically.

A simple explanation of Bitcoin: “Since anything digital can be copied over and over again, the hard part about implementing a digital payment system is making sure that nobody spends the same money more than once. Traditionally, this is done by having a trusted central authority (like PayPal) that verifies all of the transactions. This results in a system where payments are non-reversible, accounts cannot be frozen, and transaction fees are much lower.” (Bitcoinsimplified.org)

“LED lighting is currently the fastest growing energy saving technology.  With a 50% to 70% growth expected in 2014, we are positioning Logical Green Solutions to be at the forefront of this exciting industry.  By accepting Bitcoin as an option for payment, we are making our LED lighting available to a unique segment of very tech savvy prospects,” stated Bill Fuchs, President of Logical Green Solutions. “These are potential customers that will appreciate and understand the LED benefits to reduce operating expenses, save time, and help minimize environmental impact”.

Some of LGS LED lighting clients include: The City of Waukesha, Steinway Piano Gallery, Town Hall Library, Waukesha State Bank, Sake Tumi, Culvers, Quorum Architects, Steinway Piano, Concordia University Waukesha, LIFE Charter School, Carroll University, Indulgence Chocolatiers, 501 Grand LLC, Federal Plaza, University Tower, Harley Davidson and Boulder Venture.
